Pimples usually affect teenagers, but they are not rare in adults either. They can have many causes and they can appear on various parts of the body, not only on the face. Depending on what caused them, they can look differently. Sometimes they can be painful and in most of the cases they have a devastating effect on the affected person's self-esteem. There are a variety of home remedies for pimples and simple ingredients you have at home can make miracles. All you have to do is to find the one that best works for you, to put it practice and to be perseverant in using it.

Combinations of various ingredients applied on the affected areas are among the most well-known home remedies for pimple. Honey has great result and you can mix it with some cinnamon powder and apply it on the face. If possible, keep it overnight and only rinse it in the morning. If you can't sleep with it, keep it for as long as you can. Other home remedies for pimples are tomato juice or papaya juice. Depending on what you have in the house, make some fresh juice and keep it on the skin for around an hour. Clean your face afterwards and this should be helpful in preventing the pimples from swelling. Grated potatoes are also efficient, whether there are whiteheads or blackheads that are bothering you. If you are not bothered by the smell of garlic, rub the affected areas with fresh garlic at least once a day. If you manage to do this on a regular basis, the pimples will go away without leaving any mark on your skin.

One of the most efficient home remedies for pimples is lime juice. Mix it with rose water or milk before applying it on the face, but it's better to first test this remedy a small area of your skin because it might not be appropriate for people with a sensitive skin. Only keep this mixture for 30 minutes and then remove it with warm water.

Other home remedies for pimples include -

1. Orange peel mixed with water until it becomes a paste.
2. Cinnamon powder mixed with lemon juice.
3. Mint juice applied regularly every evening.
4. Ground sesame seeds mixed with water to become a paste.
5. Blended cucumber kept on the skin for half an hour (prevents pimples from appearing).

If you are looking for some overnight home remedies for pimples, try putting a little amount of toothpaste on a pimple that has just appeared. It should dry it until morning, but first test this remedy to make sure it doesn't cause a skin irritation.
